Zažít město jinak (experience the city differently)

As posted before, today is the Different City Experience festival. To experience the city differently, I went to four different places in Prague.

My day began at Václavské náměstí, where the Big Autumn Critical Mass Bike Ride started. Hundreds of people had gathered and as a sign, the sun started to shine when the first bikers started off.

Of course there were Dutch representatives at the bike tour! Dutch ambassador Ed Hoeks and his wife Odilia de Ranitz joined the Big Autumn Critical Mass Ride.

After the last bikes disappeared out of sight, I went to Americká street and Uruguayská street in Vinohrady. Here they blocked the entire streets to celebrate a Latin street party. With outdoor yoga.

In Žižkov they made an outdoor bowling alley. Also there was a reading by 'Romano Suno', Roma children.

Finally, before my feet collapsed after so much walking, I went to Dejvice. I guess it must be a neighborhood with lots of children, because they had some fun activities for kids.

Afterwards I wish I had taken some more time beforehand to look at all the activities and make some sort of schedule. Thinking "I'll just go to as much places as possible" didn't really work. Although I saw enough to say: I'll be back (and better prepared) next year!

For now, I might just take a look at what Zažít město jinak has in store for tonight..!
